Logic Pro X: Why Are All CPUs Not Being Evenly Utilized? I recently started adding more virtual instrument tracks (like synthesizers) to my Logic Pro X projects and I started getting System Overload events. I use a maxed-out Mac Mini bought new in 2020, a Focusrite Clarett 2Pre external sound card, and only use the latest drivers and software versions. Hopefully this can be addressed fairly quickly, with an upcoming patch. I also upgraded from Catalina, to Big Sur, and then Monterey. I use various third-party plugins (Fabfilter, Spectrasonics, Toontrack, Kontakt Player etc.), but I removed every plugin in the project, and it didn't help. This is a huge problem for affected projects. It happens every few seconds, maybe a bit less during the last part of the song/project. The sound plays fine, but the Logic interface becomes unresponsive. Some are fine, but others have Logic constantly freezing up for 2-5 seconds at a time. I recently upgrade to Logic 10.7, and then some of my projects developed issues. Logic 10.7 - interface constantly freezing up in some projects Hi, So not the new version 10,6 version.Īnother precision, I'm using a Usb audio interface now (Scarlett Solo 3rd gen) since my main one Clarett 4pre Thunderbolt is not compatible at this time.Īny idea what could be the problem, could it be a faulty unit? Please help!!!! I'm running the Logic Pro X previous version (10,5,1) since a couple plugins I used seems to be only working on this version. ![]() The other weird is that when I bounce the project (not in real time) I don't have any problem doing it, no overload at this point. I constantly have to freeze every track I'm working on the be able to mix my project. I've seen all the videos and comments on how this new chip was so more powerful than the Intel one and decided to jump on this boat but now I'm really frustrated on how things worked out on my side. ![]() The Cpu is jumping and the whole thing is acting really weirdly performance wise. I've just switched my setup from a 2018 Mac mini 32gb of ram to a newer M1 with 16gb of ram and I'm struggling to work on Logic Pro X with the same project size I used to have.
